Education and Training

The ability of Australian business to recruit and develop an appropriately skilled workforce depends largely on the quality and responsiveness of our education industry. The Training and Assessment Training Package (TAA04) replaces the Training Package for Assessment and Workplace Training (BSZ98). The Training and Assessment Training Package is designed to meet the current and future competency development and qualification needs of new and existing personnel working in a broad range of work functions/activities within vocational education and training.

Specialist areas within the Training Package include:

• Education and learning environment;
• Learning design;
• Delivery and facilitation;
• Assessment;
• Training advisory services;
• Co-ordination, management and quality of training/assessment services; and
• Specialist language, literacy and numeracy practice.

The Training Package comprises one Certificate IV qualification and one Diploma qualification.

The successful completion of units in the new package include those required to conduct assessments under the Australian Quality Training Framework as well as a range of specialist training and assessment areas.
